Al Hija Charity Provides Urgent Food Relief in Trincomalee
Location: Trincomalee District, Sri Lanka
Context: Dithva Cyclone Flood Relief
The recent Dithva Cyclone has brought unprecedented challenges to our community in Trincomalee. Severe flooding has submerged homes, destroyed household furniture, and left many families without access to basic necessities.
Our Immediate Response In response to this crisis, Al Hija Charity Organization mobilized an emergency relief mission to provide essential food supplies to the most affected families. We distributed rice and dry ration packs to ensure that families struggling with the aftermath of the floods have immediate food security.
Founder’s Personal Commitment This relief initiative was made possible through the personal contribution of our Founder & Director, Mr. Riyas Abdul Aziz (JP, MBA). His direct involvement and funding reflect Al Hija Charity's core value: taking immediate action to serve those in desperate need.
The Power of Giving A bag of rice or a food pack may seem small, but to a family whose kitchen is underwater, it is a lifeline of hope. We are committed to continuing our support as these communities begin the long process of rebuilding their lives.
